Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in 1943. They began as a small machine shop in the beginning employing 4 individuals. Product sales for their first year of operation totaled $60,000. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and different parts. Within 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to 40 employees and their yearly sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. Today, Cascade is amongst the leading worldwide producers in the material handling business.

Design and production of the company's original hydraulic cylinder allowed this new company to aggressively engage in better business possibilities. Throughout the last 60 years, the trade of material handling has grown into a very complex area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its improvement. Cascade at present continues to grow as the leader supplier of lift truck accessories and various related items. The company feels confident in their capability to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's needs in the future and remaining aggressive in the international market.

In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, manufacturing and promoting hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was done in 1956 on a new office to be able to house all plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. Following fifteen years of business, total employees reached a hundred and eighty staff and sales had reached almost 2.3 million dollars.

The next manufacturing plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Tucson. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's initial transfer into the international world of the material handling industry when the company recognized interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

The company changed its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The company has expanded its manufacturing plants within the U.S. with locations in Portland, Oregon, Springfield, Tucson, and Warner Robins, Georgia. Cascade merchandise are fabricated globally because of lots of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is built to be the ultimate customer service centre.

Continuing to grow, Cascade expanded their product offering further in the year 1996 and the year 1997 with the impressive acquisition of five firms, including the worldwide best in forks, the Kenhar Corporation.
